洗儿戏作　是宋代文学家苏轼创作的一首七绝。

全诗以一个“望”字，写尽了人们对孩子的期待；以一个“误”字，道尽了作者一生的遭遇。

后两句是气话，是颠倒过来说的人生感慨。

此诗表面上写的是孩子的教育话题，实则对官场进行了嬉笑式的讽刺，表现了作者玩世不恭、愤世嫉俗之意。

洗儿戏作　 苏轼人皆养子望聪明，我被聪明误一生。

惟愿孩儿愚且鲁，无灾无难到公卿。

The Washing of the InfantSu ShiMost men, bringing up sons, wish for them intellect;But I by my intellect have had a lifetime of failure.

I would only desire that my child should be simple and dull,That with no ill fortune and no trouble he may attain to highest office.
